Compatible System and Applications
The 500 bar range is appropriate for extrusion processes whose normal operating window and protective limits are configured below this full scale. It can be used for monitoring pressure before or after a screen changer, at a melt pump inlet or outlet, or near an extrusion die. Maintenance and Replacement Notes
A 500 bar transmitter must not be treated as a 7,500 psi transmitter merely because the nominal values are close. Five hundred bar is approximately 7,252 psi, so the controller span, displayed units, alarm limits and recorded process data will differ. After installation, verify the zero condition and use the calibration function only according to the applicable operating procedure. Do not use the flexible capillary to rotate or tighten the process connection.
